Upton County Voter Registration Card Mail-Out Update

The Upton County Elections Office has received questions regarding the delay in mailing voter registration cards. We want to provide clear information on why this is occurring and what it means for our voters.

Upton County, along with many counties across Texas, has experienced delays due to the implementation of the state’s new Texas Election Administration Management (TEAM) system, which is used to process voter registrations and maintain the official list of registered voters. Since the rollout of this system, counties have faced temporary interruptions in the ability to print and mail voter registration cards.

Although the physical cards have been delayed, voter registration records remain active and accurate.

Important information for Upton County voters:

If you submitted a voter registration application or update, you are still officially registered
No action is required if your name and address have not changed
Voters must present a valid photo ID when voting
Registration status can be verified at VoteTexas.gov or by contacting the Upton County Elections Office

Voter registration cards include helpful information such as your voter ID number, precinct, and districts; however, not having the physical card will not prevent you from voting in upcoming elections.

The Upton County Elections Office continues to work closely with the Texas Secretary of State’s Office and will mail voter registration cards as soon as the issue is resolved. Updates will be shared as additional information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this statewide issue. Our priority is ensuring every eligible voter in Upton County has the information they need to participate in the election process.
