Support Staff Position – PART TIME
Upton County Attorney’s Office
Position Summary:   Employee will support the work of the Administrative Assistant and County Attorney, including but not limited to assisting with clerical work, coordinating with victims, assisting in County Court, drafting legal documents, handling document destruction, and other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.  
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required to Perform the Essential Functions:   Excellent decision-making skills; strong oral and written communication abilities; strong business acumen; math and computer skills (Word including the using track changes and mail merge, Excel, and Outlook); ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships;  ability to manage and resolve conflict; high degree of flexibility and adaptability to change; strong proofreading skills with attention to detail; sound judgement; and strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills with the ability to work independently.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Work is performed indoors in a very fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.  May remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.  The person in this position needs to occasionally move about to access files and office machinery, which may require bending or reaching.  
Required Minimum Qualifications
    - Must submit to and pass a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening
- High school graduation (or its equivalent) required.
Compensation:    Position shall be part-time at a rate of $__15.00____, and no more than 20 hours a week.
