NOTICE OF MEETING
NOTICE is hereby given that the Commissioners’ Court of Upton County will meet in regular session on the 4th Monday in November, 2009, the same being November 23, 2009, at 9:00a.m., in the Commissioners’ Courtroom of the Courthouse in Rankin, to discuss matters coming before it in due course of business.

AGENDA

1. Pay bills. - Approved.

2. Accept reports, deputations, and approve any additions to bond list. - Accepted reports. There were no deputations or additions to bond list.

3. Approve minutes of November 9, 2009 & November 13, 2009. - Approved

4. Receive bids on struck-off property. - No bids received

5. Discuss and Act on Order Prohibiting Certain Fireworks in Unincorporated areas of Upton County. – Approved. Fireworks allowed December 31, 2009 from Dark until midnight at designated areas. Designated areas include Nealy Park (not in ball field) in McCamey, and Red Devil Stadium parking lot in Rankin.

6. Discuss and Act on Burn Ban. – Approved until February 20, 2010.

7. Approve bids for construction of the McCamey swimming pool. – 2 bids received. Minnix Commercial bid was $ 1,265,000.00 and PSI bid was $ 757,850.00. Commissioners court awarded construction bid for McCamey swimming pool to PSI.

8. Discuss and act on Attorney Edmund T. Anderson, IV request regarding “Castle Gap Acres.” - County Attorney advise Mr. Anderson to send a letter to the court for signature, and he hasn’t. No action taken. Will be put back on agenda on Mr. Anderson and or County Attorney request.

9. Discuss and act on contract between TexasOnline, DIR and Upton County. - Approved

10. Discuss and Act on giving employees and officials the health insurance ompensation for 2009. – Approved. Court voted to compensate one and one half months check for each employee and officical.

11. Emergency Service District # 2 representatives to discuss EMS. – No action taken

12. Discuss and act on passing Proclamation regarding Rankin Volunteer Fire Department's 70th Anniversary. - Approved

13. Discuss and Act on charging a gate fee on McCamey Rodeo Grounds. – No one appeared
